Scout Prospectors: A Dwarvish Space Opera

In the far future there are only…. Dwarves! The galaxy is a dangerous place, this is no secret to the dwarves, however in recent centuries the perils have quelled. The great clans spread across the stars have observed the silence of the dark corners of the void and ponder what treasures they hold.

 This new age of relative peace and potential prosperity has given rise to a new kind of profession, Scout-prospectors. You are one such dwarf, taken to the stars by the allure of treasure, fame and adventure. Where you come from or who you were before is of little importance on the fringes of the known stars; all that matters here is your wits and your treasure hoard.

It is your job as a scout-prospector to discover, record and exploit the vast unknown in the far reaches of the galaxy. Build colonies for your clan, grow a fleet or become a mercenary group are all possible outcomes in this new age of discovery. Ultimately what kind of legacy will you leave? Fame? Treasure? Infamy? This is the decision all those who leave the comfort of their hearth-fleets must make.
